Description

Lancelot is an underworld being I created back in 2006. Similar to stories of the Grim Reaper and that of the Ferryman, Lancelot will take a human soul, but does not cause the person’s death by doing so. He collects it after it has left the body, and guides it on it’s journey to it’s respective eternal afterlife location. This piece is a view into his work of delivering souls to their final resting places. Like a playing card, this piece may be displayed in either orientation.

Originally created with pen, marker, and colored pencil on bristol board. The traditional cutout with marbled paper present in many of my other works is a digital effect in this piece.
